Long live the Moomins! Celebrate the Moomin Day with the beloved products

The author and illustrator Tove Jansson's birthday is celebrated on the 9th of August – the day also known as the Moomin’s Day. Jansson’s life work has delighted both Finnish and international audiences through the generations. In the honor of the special day, we picked our favorite Moomin products. Invite the charming characters to your home!

1. Adorned with a colorful pattern, Arabia’s Friendship jar is perfect for storing cookies, coffee, and important treasures. 2. Iittala’s Moomin tumblers are decorated with the friendly characters drawn by the artist Tove Slotte based on the original artwork by Tove Jansson. 3. The Stinky figure is part of the Moomin x Skultuna collection, where the Moomin characters have been given a golden glow – bring a dose of playful elegance to everyday life, both in the children's room and in other rooms of the home!

4. Designed in collaboration with Harri Koskinen, the Snorkmaiden lamp is based on the pretty Moomin character and lights up your home with a soft glow. 5. The first pieces of Arabia’s Moomin tableware came out in the 1950s, and their large-scale production began in 1990. The mugs of the Classics collection introduces the characters of Moominvalley. 6. The SIGG X Moomin drinking bottle illustrates the Moomin family and their friends going for a dip in the lake. The bottle fits perfectly in the backpack whether going to school or hobbies.

7. Released originally in 1946, Comet in Moominland leads the reader to the Moominvalley where the sky has turned red because of a fiery comet. 8. The Moment of Twilight pitcher has been inspired by the book Moominland Midwinter, in which the rest of the Moomin family is fast asleep, but Moomintroll and Little My have woken up from hibernation. 9. Made of birch plywood, Yrjö Kukkapuro's Moomin chair celebrates the lovable Moomin characters’ and is ideal choice for play or around low tables.
