Finnish Design Shop x GUBI: Design Disco made a long-awaited comeback

Finnish Design Shop and Danish brand GUBI hosted a Design Disco in Helsinki to celebrate the return of Pierre Paulin’s F300 lounge chair. The event brought design professionals, friends, and tastemakers together at the R4 venue. Take a look at the highlights!

HELD DURING Helsinki Design Week, the Design Disco kicked off with an intimate lunch where Finnish Design Shop’s CEO Noora Tirkkonen interviewed GUBI’s CEO Marie Kristine Schmidt about the relaunch of the F300 lounge chair. The lunch also offered a moment to raise a glass to the 10th anniversary of Finnish Design Shop’s Contract Sales.

In the evening, the R4 venue at Teurastamo was transformed into a full-blown Design Disco: a curated selection of GUBI’s classics and new pieces was on display, with Pierre Paulin’s F300 lounge chair and T877 side table naturally taking center stage. The atmosphere was lively and joyful, and by the end of the night, the dance floor was full.
