GUBI’s Tynell 1972 pendant lamp is part of Paavo Tynell’s lighting collection featuring conical lampshades and characterful natural materials, both typical of the designer. This lamp features a handcrafted bamboo slat shade that glows with warm tones – its large, 90 cm width makes it a striking centrepiece in spacious rooms. Positioned below the light source, a fabric diffuser ensures a gentle, glare-free downward illumination, making the pendant ideal for various spaces, from a dining table to a bedroom ceiling or as a general light source in any room. Originally designed in the 1950s and produced by the Finnish company Oy Taito Ab, the 1972 lamp is now part of the Paavo Tynell collection under the Danish design brand GUBI.
