Lepo Product's Moderno stool is a longtime favourite among design lovers. The stool combines ergonomic comfort with a timeless silhouette, making it a perfect fit for both private homes and public spaces alike. Designed by Professor Yrjö Kukkapuro in the early 1960s, the Moderno collection was originally born from a brief to create a fitting chair for a shoe store. The result was not just one chair, but a whole family of seating options, including work chairs, café chairs and rocking chairs.
Today, the beloved classic has been given a modern update in collaboration with Danish designer Stine Goya. The painted seat brings a playful and personal touch to the Moderno’s distinctive silhouette, while staying true to its original, streamlined aesthetic. The harmonious colour palette and understated metal frame ensure the chair stands out just the right amount, blending effortlessly into both minimalist and more eclectic décors.
