Description
Kamenoko’s hand broom is a versatile cleaning companion that brings a sense of Japanese calm to the home. Handcrafted in the traditional Japanese way from dried stems of the kochia plant – known in Japan as "broom grass" for exactly this reason – the tightly bound stems form a dense, brush-like structure that has been used for centuries to sweep gardens and temple grounds.
At home, the ambitions are perhaps a little more modest: crumbs from the dinner table, gravel in the entrance hall, or the corners of a terrace all meet their match here. That said, the hand brush is beautiful enough that if it never sees a day of cleaning, it works just as well as a wall decoration or a quietly considered object in its own right.
