The String Pocket shelf is part of the String storage system designed by Nils Strinning in 1949. Since its launch in 2005, the light yet sturdy shelf has found its place in innumerable homes and uses. In 2024, String Furniture marks its 75th anniversary, and to commemorate this, the String Pocket wall shelf is released in the original colours that once led Nils and Kajsa Strinning's first String shelf to win the international Bonniers design competition, elevating it to the status of a world-famous classic.
The String Pocket 1949–2024 Limited Edition is crafted from white-oiled pine shelves paired with metal side panels, whose blue hue is precisely matched to that of the original from 1949. The combination of the metal panels' industrial charm and the vibrant wood grain creates a harmonious, timeless aesthetic. This anniversary edition is available in a limited series only.
