Ferm Living’s Aukko coffee table brings an almost monolithic sense of presence to the living room, hallway, or lounge area. Crafted from dark-stained oak, the table pairs a glass top with a bold base made of wide wooden panels. The open cut-outs in the structure not only give the table its name, but also lend it a striking architectural character.
The design of the Aukko table was inspired by Can Lis, the private residence of Danish architect Jørn Utzon in Mallorca, sometimes referred to as one of the finest private homes of the 20th century. The building's unique blend of natural elements and geometric forms is echoed in the dining table's design, developed in collaboration with the Utzon Center, which carries on the architect's legacy.
