Marimekko’s Mini Unikko wash set is adorned with the iconic floral pattern designed by Maija Isola and reimagined in a miniature scale by Kristiina Isola. Made from soft organic cotton terry, the set includes a wash mitt and a stretchy headband to keep hair comfortably out of the way while cleansing. The set comes packaged in a gift box.
The Unikko pattern came about in 1964 after Armi Ratia, the founder of Marimekko, had announced in public that no floral fabrics would be designed at Marimekko. Maija Isola did not accept rules or restrictions and designed, in protest, a complete collection of bold floral patterns: Unikko, a Finnish word that means poppy. Today, Unikko is one of Marimekko's best-known patterns and is recognized worldwide.
