Description

GUBI’s Croissant lounge chair is by midcentury Danish architect and designer Ilum Wikkelsø, who believed that the furniture was made to last, indulge the body as well as please the eye. Originally designed in 1962, the Croissant represents a more playful and relaxed take on the traditional Chesterfield-style furniture.

The personal and distinctive shape, inspired by French pastry, reflects the designer’s ingenuity and sense of humour. The solid wood frame and soft plush seating of the furniture ensure a comfortable stay no matter the angle at which you sit. The hand-stitched Croissant armchair makes a beautiful and sculptural statement both alone or in pairs and works well together with the Croissant sofa from the same series.
