Org 1050 wall lamp, nickel
Description
DCWéditions' Org wall lamp is pared back yet surprisingly versatile all at once. The lamp is made up of opal glass tubes, their ends finished with an elegant nickel plating. The effect shifts with the room: the Org looks delicate and refined in one setting, quietly industrial in another. The wall lamp is just as happy in a home as in a public space, on the wall of a restaurant or hotel, either on its own or in clusters of several. German designer Sebastian Summa has said he drew inspiration from science fiction and astronomy when designing the Org wall lamp.

Sebastian Summa is a German designer focusing especially on product and spatial design. He mainly designs products made of metal, crafting many of them himself at his own studio as small series production. Summa used to work as a blacksmith, and it was during that time that he developed a passion for metal as a material. In addition to his own small-scale production, Summa has also collaborated with the French brand DCW éditions, among others.
