In The Air 3 chandelier, white
Description
DCWéditions' In The Air pendant lamp lifts three glass shades into the air, their wide, dome-shaped form calling to mind flying saucers. Designed by Douglas Mont, this retro-futuristic pendant light draws inspiration from vintage sci-fi films and space-themed comic strips.
The In The Air lamp works beautifully above a dining table, a sofa set, or in a hallway or lobby. The slender black steel frame sets off the white glass, turning the lamp into a striking cosmic chandelier that holds its own even in a larger space.

Douglas Mont (b. 1973) is a French lighting and furniture designer who began his career by founding Jetnet Design and Domomodo Éditions, companies producing illuminated plastic furniture. Mont isn't the only lighting designer in his family – in 2018, he continued the story of Rispal, the Paris-based company founded by his great-uncle in 1924 and known for its modernist lamps.
The aesthetic of Mont's distinctive lamps and light sculptures draws heavily on the 1950s and 1960s, the visionary imagery of film director Alejandro Jodorowsky, and Frank Herbert's science-fiction novel Dune. Modularity, durability, and respect for historical layers are also key elements of his design.
