Description

Georg Jensen's Bernadotte tumblers are made of lead-free crystal glass and decorated with the delicate grooves that characterize the entire Bernadotte series. The tall tumblers come in a set of six, and, due to their size, are very multifunctional – they are ideal for water, juice or cocktails.

The Bernadotte collection is a true Scandinavian design icon, and even today one of the most popular Georg Jensen collections. The elegant collection is named after its original designer, the Swedish Prince Sigvard Bernadotte. The first products in the collection were designed in the 1930s when the design world was heavily influenced by the functionalist movement. Characteristic to both the era and the designer, Bernadotte beautifully combines practicality with clean-lined elegance. Bernadotte is the perfect choice for all design enthusiasts who value quality and beautiful, timeless design.

Sigvard Bernadotte

Swedish prince Sigvard Bernadotte (1907–2002) was an internationally renowned designer, illustrator and industrial designer. In 1929, Bernadotte attended the Stockholm Exhibition, which marked the breakthrough of functionalism led by Gunnar Asplund. This experience inspired him to adopt the ideals of functionalist design in his own work. Soon after, Bernadotte began a long and successful collaboration with Georg Jensen, where the influence of functionalism was reflected in the brand’s modern silverware designs.
