Flos’s Seki-han floor lamp blends the traditions of Italian design with Japanese influences. The long, vertical floor light is composed of a matte-black base, chromed metal details and two rotating ash wood panels. By adjusting the angle of these wooden elements, the character of the light can be modified – from bright and focused to a soft, diffuse glow. The lamp features a dimmable integrated LED tube, but it can also accommodate standard T8 bulbs.
Designed by Tobia Scarpa, the Seki-han collection takes its name from a Japanese rice dish served only on special occasions. The warm wooden lights draw inspiration from the lighting technology once used on ships. Originally produced between 1963 and 1966, the Seki-han series has been reintroduced by Flos in 2025, updated with new models and modern technology.
