Description
Vitra's Mynt Soft chair takes its look from the versatile all-round chair designed by Erwan Bouroullec, now with an even softer and more comfortable feel. That softness comes from V-Foam, a recyclable polyurethane foam developed by Vitra and BASF, cushioning both the seat and the backrest. The curved backrest flows seamlessly into supportive armrests and a softly contoured seat, so settling in for a good long while is very much the point!
The most inventive feature of the Mynt chair is its patented tilting mechanism, which automatically adapts to the user's movements and weight. The seat tilts forward or backward in response to your body's centre of gravity, moving independently of the backrest. All that's left for you to do is adjust the seat height to your preference. The exceptionally adaptable Mynt works just as well as a task chair in the office as it does around the dining table at home or in a restaurant.

Erwan Bouroullec (b. 1976) is a French designer renowned for his long-standing collaboration with his brother, Ronan Bouroullec, which began in 1998. A graduate of the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Erwan Bouroullec has created a diverse array of products throughout his career, including furniture, textiles, installations, architecture and experimental projects. His design process integrates traditional craftsmanship and sketching with modern techniques such as algorithms, coding and digital technologies.
As one of France's most celebrated contemporary designers, Erwan Bouroullec has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Red Dot Design Award and the Panerai London Design Medal in 2014.
