Description

TAKT’s T04 Soft lounge chair is a modern Danish design classic, defined by a sturdy, clean-lined oak frame paired with a gently curved veneered seat and backrest. The veneer elements rest lightly on the frame like fabric, while still providing an exceptionally robust and durable structure. True to its name, the Soft lounge chair feels both soft and effortlessly relaxed, with an honest expression where every component is clearly visible. The natural grain patterns of the wood add to its visual appeal.

Designed by Thomas Bentzen with comfort as the starting point, the Soft lounge chair is ideal for living areas at home, as well as cafés, offices and other public spaces. The easy-to-assemble chair is delivered in eco-friendly flat-pack packaging, and in line with TAKT’s principles, all components are detachable and can be replaced if needed.

Thomas Bentzen

Thomas Bentzen is a Danish designer who graduated from the Copenhagen Design School in 2003. Bentzen founded his own design office in 2010 and is also part of the Copenhagen REMOVE design group. Before setting up his own office, Bentzen worked for five years at Danish firm Louise Campbell.

Bentzen has worked in various fields of design, ranging from tableware to interior design and from furniture to industrial design. His designs are often characterized by a clear, playful and graphic touch, with an aim to test the boundaries of different materials within the boundaries of form, functionality and sustainable design. Bentzen’s designs have been seen in numerous exhibitions around the world, and he has worked with brands such as Louis Poulsen, Hay and Muuto.

Shipping & Delivery

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight, and volume of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. You will see the exact rate, available shipping options and estimated delivery date at checkout once you have filled in your address details.

Please note that your order will be delivered as one full shipment once all the items are in stock.

Orders shipped to Australia are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) as following:

For private customers:

  • Orders of AU$1,000 or less (goods value only, excluding shipping and taxes):
    • A 10% GST is included in the prices and paid at checkout.
  • Orders over AU$1,000:
    • GST and any applicable import duties are collected by Australian customs upon arrival and must be paid by the recipient. Since GST is collected by customs, it is deducted from the order total at checkout and shown as a separate line item in the cost breakdown.

Please note that our product pages display prices including 10% GST. As a result, the AU$1,000 threshold effectively applies to orders with a displayed goods value of AU$1,100 or more.

Delivery terms

Orders are shipped on a DAP (Delivered at Place) basis. This means that any GST, import duties or other charges assessed by Australian customs or the carrier must be paid by the recipient in order to release the shipment.

Please note that the right to return products does not apply to:

  • Custom-made products which are ordered from the manufacturer according to the customer's wishes.
  • Custom-cut items (including fabrics and replacement webbing).

Please note that returns are subject to a restocking fee, which varies depending on your region and the item being returned. The restocking fee will be deducted from the total refund amount.
