Hem – Swedish for “home” – is a Stockholm-based independent design brand founded in 2014. The company is best known for its distinctive range of high-quality modern furniture, lighting and accessories, created to enrich the lives of those who appreciate imaginative and inspiring design.
In addition to its in-house design studio, Hem collaborates with some of today’s most interesting contemporary designers to offer fresh perspectives through thoughtfully crafted products. All pieces are responsibly produced in Europe and meet contract-grade standards. As the brand itself puts it, Hem aims to “bring truly unique furnishings to those who won’t compromise on design, quality or sustainability.”

Hem – contemporary Nordic design with character
Founded in 2014, Hem was born out of a desire to create high-quality design that’s approachable, sustainable and full of personality. Fittingly, “Hem” means “home” in Swedish – and home is at the heart of everything this Stockholm-based brand does.
Hem’s founder and CEO is Swedish industrial designer Petrus Palmér, who is also known as one of the co-founders of the renowned Swedish design studio Form Us With Love.

Hem’s collections are brought to life in close collaboration with top international designers. Creative minds like GamFratesi, Luca Nichetto, Pauline Deltour and Staffan Holm have all contributed to Hem’s distinctive style – defined by clean lines, premium materials and bold, expressive color palettes.
