Microplane

Microplane is a US-based family business that is well-known for its exceptionally sharp graters and zesters. Originally specialized in woodworking tools, Microplane expanded its range to kitchen tools in 1994, after a Canadian homemaker had tested a Microplane tool in grating an orange and diskovered that it worked like a dream. Microplane’s graters differ from most graters with their photo-etched blades. The technique gives the graters more sharper and stronger teeth that maintain their sharpness much longer than most graters.
