Le Klint
Le Klint’s hand-pleated lampshades and luminaires are sought-after modern classics whose captivating look suits a wide range of interiors. Crafted by hand at the company’s own workshop in Odense, Denmark, these unique shades manage to be both timeless and contemporary – it’s hard to believe that the iconic Model 101 by Kaare Klint was originally designed in the 1940s.
The story of the company began in 1901, when engineer, architect and painter P.V. Jensen Klint folded a paper lampshade for his own use. His sons, Kaare and Tage Klint, later carried on his legacy and developed Le Klint into a company in 1943. Today, Le Klint is known not only for its iconic classics but also for its ever-evolving and expanding collection.
