Fatboy’s Color Blend rug, designed by Carole Baijings, is adorned with a graphic motif made up of four differently coloured lines, like a giant number sign. Known for her colour expertise, Baijings came up with the pattern and colour combination quite spontaneously: when sketching the rugs, she noticed that the crossing colours resulted in new shades, or colour blends as you could call them, and so the design began to take shape as if on its own. What’s more, the rug is made of a super-soft material that perfectly mimics the blurred, asymmetrical lines and layers of Baijings’ original sketch.
