The brand’s journey began with writer and cultural visionary Elsa Heporauta, who first founded the Kalevala Women’s Association and later Kalevala Jewelry. The company’s very first collection drew inspiration from Finnish mythology and ancient ornaments, laying the foundation for a timeless design legacy that continues to evolve even today. Every Kalevala piece is designed and made at the company’s own workshop in Helsinki, Finland.
