Danish brand New Works was founded in 2015 in Copenhagen by Nikolaj Meier and Knut Bendik Humlevik. They wanted to create a brand that combines traditional Scandinavian craftsmanship with modern aesthetics. Their vision is to create expressive and bold objects that withstand the test of time and changing trends. New Works believes that good design is more than just an aesthetic experience – it is also functional and durable.

Shapes and materials inspired by nature

Many New Works products are inspired by Nordic nature and architecture. The brand's first significant milestone was the Lantern lighting series designed by Anderssen & Voll, which immediately caught the attention of the design community. This was just the beginning, as New Works has since expanded its product range from furniture and lighting to small interior objects.

Other well-known product lines include the Material lamps by Nørgaard & Kechayas, crafted from a variety of materials, the sculptural Kizu lamps designed by Lars Tornøe, and the elegant Florence tables by Knut Bendik Humlevik.
