Puotila has created many of Woodnotes' most beloved rug designs, including the San Francisco, Fourways, and Panorama series. Over the years, she has received numerous prestigious awards, such as the Kaj Franck Design Prize, the Finland Prize, the Good Design Award, and the Red Dot Design Award. In 2001, she was named Finnish Textile Artist of the Year. Her work is featured in the collections of leading museums around the world, including the Architecture and Design Collection at MoMA.
