Studio Kukkapuro

Studio Kukkapuro preserves the life’s work of Finnish designer Yrjö Kukkapuro and artist Irmeli Kukkapuro, while developing their atelier home into a museum open to the public. The studio is led by Isa Kukkapuro-Enbom and Ida Kukkapuro – two members of the next Kukkapuro generations.

Located in Kauniainen, Studio Kukkapuro was built between 1968 and 1969 based on designs by Yrjö Kukkapuro and engineer Eero Paloheimo. Constructed from concrete, steel and glass, this distinctive building served for decades as both the Kukkapuros’ home and workspace.
