Description

Marimekko’s Vihkiruusu cushion cover is adorned with a beautiful rose pattern designed by Maija Isola in 1964. You may already know the story behind it: Marimekko’s founder, Armi Ratia, once declared that she didn’t want a single floral print in the brand’s collection. Poked on by the comment, Maija Isola went on to create a series of distinctive flower designs that made Ratia change her mind – eight of them were immediately added to Marimekko's collection. Among these now-iconic patterns were Vihkiruusu and Unikko.

Printed in Helsinki on partly organic and partly recycled cotton, the cushion cover is suitable for decorating both the sofa and the bed. Remember to pick up an inner cushion too, so you can enjoy your Vihkiruusu cushion cover to its fullest right away!
