Tolix is a French company founded by Xavier Pauchard (1880–1948). He was a pioneer of galvanisation in France. Pauchard registered the Tolix trademark in 1927 and started to produce chairs, armchairs, stools and metal furnitures.
The different models, all rustproof, robust and stackable, gained a huge success and they became true design classics. The company Tolix remained in the same family until 2004. Chantal Andriot then decided to revive the classic brand. Today this enterprise is endowed with the latest technology which accompanies it’s numerous inherited manual processes and equipement.
