Sunami Toru Shoten is a Japanese family-owned company founded in 1886, whose craft has been based on weaving igusa rush grass for over five generations. Originally, the igusa woven by the company was used, among other things, in the production of tatami mats, but today it makes a range of everyday items such as bags and trivets from igusa.
