
Torsten Thorup
Torsten Thorup (b. 1944) is a Danish architect and designer best known for his long-standing collaboration with Claus Bonderup. Both graduates of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1969, Thorup and Bonderup began their careers working at Henning Larsen’s architectural studio in Copenhagen. Since then, they have created a wide range of projects together, from designing watches and store displays for Georg Jensen to major architectural commissions such as the Arktikum museum in Finland and the harbour area in Elsinore, Denmark.
Thorup’s work is defined by practicality, architectural precision, and timeless aesthetics. Over the years, he has contributed to numerous projects for both Danish and international clients across a wide range of disciplines.
