Flos is an Italian lighting manufacturer who has enriched the world of modern design with numerous iconic luminaires. Flos was founded in 1962 by Dino Gavina and Cesare Cassina. In 1964, Sergio Gandini took the charge of the company, and his son Piero Gandini has led Flos to the 21st century. Since its beginning, the mission of Flos has been to develop unique and innovative lamps that merge together new design and new technology. Flos has collaborated with masters of Italian design as well as notable international designers: the Italian architect brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni created many awarded designs for Flos, and during the decades Flos has produced new design classics with designers such as Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, Philippe Starck and Jasper Morrison.
