Founded in France in 2012, Hartô was born from a desire to shake up traditional design – often beautiful but sometimes distant – with something fresher, friendlier and more joyful. The founders set out to create furniture that blends beauty with everyday practicality, making design a delightful part of daily life. The name Hartô playfully nods to the Spanish expression “I’ve had enough,” symbolising a bold break from the dull and the expected.

Among Hartô’s first – and still most iconic – creations are the playful yet practical pieces by Pierre-François Dubois, like the much-loved Marius desks. These designs combine smart, functional details with soft curves and uplifting colour palettes. They also set the tone for what Hartô is all about: a joyful fusion of free-spirited creativity, clever shapes and bold ideas that defy the ordinary.
