Description

Marimekko’s plate set features two of the brand’s most beloved patterns: Maija Isola’s iconic Unikko and Kivet. The Kivet pattern, created in 1956, draws its inspiration from nature – its rough-edged circles were based on large stones that had been moved from the yard of Isola’s studio. Unikko, on the other hand, was born in 1964 as a protest when Armi Ratia, the founder of Marimekko, announced that no floral fabrics would be printed at the design house. Isola did not accept these rules and restrictions without a fight and ended up designing an entire series of them. One of those prints was Unikko, which quickly became a favourite of Ratia, too. 

The set includes four small plates in sweet shades. Both the Unikko and Kivet plates are well-suited for serving as well as for adding a decorative touch to the home. The set comes packaged in a box featuring the Marimekko Logo pattern.

Shipping & Delivery

If all the items in your order are in stock, your order will be dispatched from our warehouse in Finland within two working days. The estimated delivery time is shown on the product pages and at checkout.

The shipping cost is based on the destination, weight, and volume of the shipment and will be calculated automatically. You will see the exact rate, available shipping options and estimated delivery date at checkout once you have filled in your address details.

Please note that your order will be delivered as one full shipment once all the items are in stock.

Orders shipped to Australia are subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) as following:

For private customers:

  • Orders of AU$1,000 or less (goods value only, excluding shipping and taxes):
    • A 10% GST is included in the prices and paid at checkout.
  • Orders over AU$1,000:
    • GST and any applicable import duties are collected by Australian customs upon arrival and must be paid by the recipient. Since GST is collected by customs, it is deducted from the order total at checkout and shown as a separate line item in the cost breakdown.

Please note that our product pages display prices including 10% GST. As a result, the AU$1,000 threshold effectively applies to orders with a displayed goods value of AU$1,100 or more.

Delivery terms

Orders are shipped on a DAP (Delivered at Place) basis. This means that any GST, import duties or other charges assessed by Australian customs or the carrier must be paid by the recipient in order to release the shipment.

Please note that the right to return products does not apply to:

  • Custom-made products which are ordered from the manufacturer according to the customer's wishes.
  • Custom-cut items (including fabrics and replacement webbing).

Please note that returns are subject to a restocking fee, which varies depending on your region and the item being returned. The restocking fee will be deducted from the total refund amount.
