Marimekko's Losange mug is adorned with an abstract design with a heraldic symbol, familiar from decorations on historic buildings. The pattern is made by Sabine Finkenauer who created the design in oil pastels, using not only drawing but also stamping: she transferred the pattern from one sheet of paper to another using an iron. The charming, abstract pattern takes its name from the word "losange", which is Spanish for "diamond".
The ceramic Losange mug is part of the Oiva tableware range, designed by Sami Ruotsalainen, and is easily combinable with monochrome dishware as well as other iconic Marimekko patterns.
