The HAY Copenhague CPH 10 table is part of the Copenhague furniture collection designed by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. This sleek table is designed to be used as a desk but can also serve as a meeting room table or a lightweight dining table. The table is made from soaped oak and has a beautifully smooth linoleum top. Both materials will develop a lovely patina over time and use, and it is advisable to treat the wooden surfaces with soap regularly.
HAY invited the Bouroullec brothers to design the furniture for the new buildings of the University of Copenhagen (KUA). Due to the symmetrical frames and sleek legs, Copenhagen chairs and tables both stack vertically, allowing an almost infinite stacking. The Bouroullec brothers wanted to create furniture with greater originality and a more domestic expression than traditional educational furniture. The Copenhague collection fits all kinds of public and private use.
