Gunilla Norin

Gunilla Norin (b. 1944) is a Swedish furniture and interior designer. She has become famous for the Viken outdoor furniture range designed for Berga Form. The Viken folding chair for outdoor use was designed by Gunilla Norin in 1983.

Viken is one of the world’s most plagiarized furniture models. In 1998, it was estimated that around 600,000 reproductions were made in the world. Gunilla Norin’s cooperation with Berga Form started in 1983 and for the furniture designed for the Swedish company she has been awarded three times with the Excellent Swedish Design Award. Gunilla Norin’s works have been selected for many important exhibitions in Sweden and abroad and her furniture and designs feature in a number of interior and design volumes.
