Description

Alessi's Bell ornament, designed by Elena Salmistraro, is part of the Holyhedrics collection that interprets traditional holiday decorations with a playful modern twist and geometric details. Made of hand-decorated, blown glass, the Holyhedrics baubles feature vibrant, graphic patterns that bear resemblance to both digital pixels and vintage embroidery designs. Despite their distinct appearance, the Holyhedrics ornaments harmonize beautifully with traditional baubles, angels and stars, creating a festive and eclectic decoration for the Christmas tree or holiday home.

Designer

Elena Salmistraro is an Italian designer and artist based in Milan. Graduating from the Polytechnic University of Milan in 2003 in fashion design and later in industrial design in 2008, Salmistraro founded her own studio in 2009. Her projects span a wide spectrum, from product design to fashion, architecture to visual arts and installations. Her work is a captivating blend of contemporary influences, drawing inspiration from fashion, street art and modern cultures, as well as nature, mythology and age-old traditions. Salmistraro has collaborated with renowned international brands such as Disney, Apple, Vitra, Nike, Ikea, Alessi, and Moooi, earning her multiple prestigious awards, including the Frame Design Award as Best Designer and the Salone del Mobile Milano Award as Best Emerging Designer.
