Gubi’s B-4 table lamp, designed by Greta M. Grossman in 1945, has a cheerful, alternating character created by its colourful, movable visors. B-4 lamp gives the space a delightful touch of 1940s' modernism with influences from Grossman’s Swedish heritage as well as from American design of the mid-twentieth century.
Besides a designer, Grossman was also an architect, and the silhouette of the B-4 lamp has been compared to her architectural designs, such as the Southern Californian hill houses with cantilevered decks and glass walls. The movable angles and well-considered colour palettes of the classic luminaire freshen up also the interiors of the 21st century.
