Description

Hem’s Kumo sofa is named after the Japanese word for cloud – looking at the chubby pillows on the sofa, it’s easy to understand how that name came to be. The gist of the sofa, designed by Anderssen & Voll, lies exactly there, in its cushions. They are not only incredibly soft but also practical in terms of delivery or, say, moving day: the sofa is delivered flat-packed and can easily be assembled on-site by sliding the cushions in place into the sofa’s simple metal frame. Typical of the Norwegian design duo, the sofa has a very minimalist appearance, albeit at the same time being comfortable and plush. The Kumo sofa was chosen as the Furniture of the Year in the Dezeen Awards 2018.
