The Hackney sofa is a comfortable and classic 3-seater from Hay. The sofa is designed by Sebastian Wrong. The upholstered frame with armrests and backrest is detachable and foldable. This allows the sofa to be moved around easier. The frame is made of wood and the sofa’s bottom consists of polyurethane foam and spring system. The mattress and cushions are filled in feather.

Sebastian Wrong

Sebastian Wrong

The London-based designer Sebastian Wrong (b.1971) studied sculpture at Norwich School of Arts. In the year 1996 he established the design brand The Lane and run it for four years. Today he is the Design Director at Established & Sons and teaches Design Product at the prestigious Royal College of Arts. He works also as Creative Director at Wrong for Hay.

Wrong is interested in manipulating materials, the pureness of form, function and honesty. His design work cultivates from the balance between the function, aesthetics and sophistication.
