Fredericia’s 2212 sofa is a two-seater version of the leather sofa which Børge Mogensen designed for his own home in 1962. The sofa has been upholstered in black, vegetable-tanned aniline leather with a breathable, open-pored texture.
Fredericia’s Select Collection consists of sofas and armchairs characterized by simple but noble shapes and luxurious materials. Besides private residencies, they are seen in embassies, minister’s cabinets and upscale hotels around the world. Mogensen found the inspiration for the collection from Porter’s chairs and sofas designed by Kaarle Klint in 1920s. The whole range is crafted and upholstered by hand at Fredericia’s own factory in Denmark.
