Marimekko’s Puffi pouf features Maija Isola’s pattern design Mansikkavuoret. The large and lightweight pouf is filled with small styrofoam balls and has a thick cotton cover that is removable and washable. The relaxed and elegant Puffi is perfect as a cozy pouf or footstool and it also functions as a seat by a low table. The Mansikkavuoret Puffi pouf is only available as a limited edition.
Designed in 1969 by Maija Isola, the Mansikkavuoret pattern was inspired by the pop art movement of the era. The light-hearted, almost dream-like pattern features a line of strawberries that seem to form a mountain range against a pink sky with clouds drifting across it – the name Mansikkavuoret does, indeed, translate to “strawberry mountains”.
