Description

Anno’s Paimen wool shaggy rug is characterised by fluffy, vertical stripes of wool piles. Resembling traditional flokati rugs, the bohemian vintage feel of the Paimen rug is achieved by brushing the fibres of the wool after weaving. The rug has braided fringes, and nylon has been added to its cotton warp to ensure extra durability.

Designed by Pia Lehtovuori and named after a Finnish word for shepherd, the Paimen rug is well suited for bedrooms, living rooms and lounge areas, and the texture of its long piles feels lovely against the skin. The rug is hand-woven by Indian family-owned producers from unbleached, naturally warm-toned wool yarn. The antistatic and dirt-repellent properties make wool an excellent material for interior textiles.

Notes
18 cm long braided fringes at both ends. We recommend using an anti-slip rug underlay.
Care instructions
Wool is an easy-to-care natural material, often needing only airing and light vacuuming. Professional flat carpet cleaning at 30°C. Dry clean, do not soak or bleach, dry flat.

Pia Lehtovuori

Pia Lehtovuori is a Finnish designer who works as the head designer for Anno. Lehtovuori has a bachelor’s degree in textile design from Borås University, Sweden, and a master’s degree from the Royal College of Art, London. She has been working with the Finnish brand Anno since 2011.
