Description

HAY’s Paper Porcelain coffee saucer is a skilful union of Scandinavian design and Japanese pottery expertise. Paper Porcelain tableware resembles the folded paper objects that designer duo Scholten & Baijings once created for an exhibition. Made of ultra-thin but durable Japanese porcelain, the polished matte surface of the tableware is speckled by tiny iron particles and decorated with simple, hand-etched geometric motifs. The result is an understated, sophisticated collection for both daily use and celebrations. The pieces of the Paper Porcelain collection are handmade in a traditional pottery workshop located in Arita, Japan.
