Sami Lahtinen

Sami Lahtinen (b. 1967) is a Helsinki-based industrial designer who has collaborated with Asko and Iittala, among others, as an independent designer. His best-known works include the Dandy glass series, which has been selected for the collections of both the Finnish Glass Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

Sami Lahtinen graduated as a designer in 1999 from the Helsinki University of Art and Design, now called Aalto University, where he later worked as a researcher. In addition to his alma mater, Lahtinen has taught design at Mikkeli University of Applied Sciences and the Lahti Institute of Design. Lahtinen works as chief designer for LAC Camera Systems, a company he co-founded, that manufactures camera systems and software.
