Laura Väre

Laura Väre (born 1989) is a Finnish designer living and working in Helsinki. Väre designs lighting fixtures, furniture as well as various interior items, which she hopes will last a long time in terms of both quality and appearance. Her designs are often characterized by a strong design language and her ability to combine different materials together to create distinctive yet minimalist objects.

Laura Väre has always known that she wants to work in the creative field. She has a background as a metal artisan and has studied furniture design at the Lahti Design Institute. In 2019, Väre graduated with a master's degree from Aalto University. With three other Finnish designers, Väre is part of the Luomo collective, which was awarded with the Promise of the Year Prize at the 2016 Muoto Gala. In 2019, Design Forum Finland awarded Väre with the Young Designer of the Year award.
