The Otso sauna seat cover, designed by Ulla Vahteri for Lapuan Kankurit, is illustrated with an enchanting pattern consisting of bear silhouettes – in Finnish, Otso is one of the many names for a bear. The two-tone pattern is featured on the other side in opposite colours. Made of a blend of European linen and organic cotton, the Otso sauna seat cover has been woven at the Lapuan Kankurit weaving mill in Finland.

Designer
Ulla Vahteri is a Finnish textile designer studying at Aalto University, Helsinki. She finds inspiration for her designs from environments and places of personal significance – especially a family cabin at Lake Päijänne and the surrounding islands and forests. In 2021, Vahteri started a collaboration with Lapuan Kankurit through the Pattern Lab 2021 project.
