The Biowaste Box by the Finnish brand Niimaar offers a modern and practical way to sort and store organic waste. Designed by Andreu Carulla, the Biowaste Box is made from vividly textured Woodio wood composite with a light-coloured birch plywood lid. The beautifully designed and easy-to-clean Biowaste Box can be stored on the kitchen counter and used without a biowaste bag. You can also use the boxes as storage containers and stack several boxes on top of each other. The Biowaste Box is manufactured in Finland.

Designer
Andreu Carulla is a Spanish designer who enjoys exploring materiality, traditional Mediterranean techniques as well as contemporary processes. The Catalan-born designer founded his own studio and workshop in 2006 in an old mill located in a rural area close to Barcelona. He also runs another studio, Studio ACID, and works as Creative Director for several local brands. Carulla has been awarded many notable design awards, such as the Red Dot Award, Hospitality Design Award and Good Design Award.
