The Zoo Full-grown coffee table, designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune for Asplund, is part of a table collection of three low tables in different sizes and materials. Zoo Full-grown is the largest of the tables and made of untreated steel that will develop a gorgeous, varied patina over time and use. The unique patina is not the only characteristic that makes the tables exclusive: each version is also only made in a limited edition of 100 numbered tables.
The Zoo tables are constructed of an asymmetrical, softly rounded top carried by 6–8 thin legs depending on the version; Zoo Full-grown has 8 legs. Each table is very low, only rising to 20 cm. The low, multi-legged structure of the tables is also the inspiration for the collection’s name – the design evokes images of a small creature scurrying ahead at full speed. The Zoo Full-grown table in steel makes for a distinctive addition to the living room décor, placed, for example, next to an armchair or sofa.
