HAY’s Tapis rug, designed by Julie Richoz, has a raw, natural texture that results from a tactile blend of jute and cotton. Seen from a distance, Tapis looks two-toned, but a closer look reveals a surprising detail: the dark green stripes are actually made up of a combination of black and bright green yarn. The rug has a non-slip backing for added functionality.

Designer
Julie Richoz (b. 1990) is a Swiss-French designer based in Paris. She established her own studio in 2015, and her clients include brands such as Mattiazzi, Alessi, Louis Poulsen and Louis Vuitton. Richoz has graduated from ECAL (University of Art and Design Lausanne) and has been teaching there design since 2017.
