Description

Røros Tweed's Knut throw, designed by Hallgeir Homstvedt, is a delight for all senses. The wool blanket's distinctive, almost illusion-like pattern is inspired by the process of weaving – the grid pattern represents the vertical and horizontal yarns or threads of the weave. To further challenge our visual perception, Homstvedt has gone for bold colour combinations.

High-quality home textiles by the Norwegian Røros Tweed are made from 100% Norwegian lambswool, shorn from sheep living free in the mountains. The manufacturing process is also kept fully in Norway to maintain high standards, which have been essential to the company's continued success since the 1940s.

Hallgeir Homstvedt

Hallgeir Homstvedt (b. 1977) is a Norwegian designer, who studied industrial design at the Newcastle University in Australia. After graduating with honours in 2006, he went to work for the Norway Says design collective established by Torbjørn Anderssen, Andreas Engesvik and Espen Voll. In 2009 Homstvedt founded his own studio focused on furniture, product and interior design. His work has been exhibited in Oslo, London, Tokyo, New York and Milan and he has designed for brands such as Muuto, Lexon, One Nordic (Hem), L. K. Hjelle and Established & Sons.
