Description

Audo Copenhagen’s Wing floor lamp was designed by Swedish Kenneth Bergenblad in the 1980s but its modern appearance charms viewers still. The charming luminaire got its name from the horizontal polished aluminium shade that is shaped like a wing. The shade rotates through a full 360 degrees, allowing the light beam to be directed exactly where it is needed the most. The simple and stylish Wing luminaire will suit both minimalist and maximalist interiors and will appeal to homes and public spaces alike.

Kenneth Bergenblad

As the son of a sculptor and an artist, designer Kenneth Bergenblad (b. 1944) can almost be said to have a love of beautiful things in his vein. He is best known for his modern designs and elegant objects that combine practicality with experimentality. Bergenblad's work balances shapes, colours and materials in a timeless and beautiful way.

Bergenblad was born in Sweden and introduced to the world of design while he studied carpentry as a teenager. He completed an apprenticeship in 1965 and then continued his studies at the Copenhagen Academy of Fine Arts. Between 1970 and 1993 he worked for DUX, for whom he designed the internationally successful Spider chair.
