Wästberg's Lampyre t2 table lamp, designed by Inga Sempé, is named after the French word for glow worm. The luminaire is quite classic in shape, but its gist lies in the choice of material: both the lamp's shade and base are made of mouth-blown opaline glass, through which light is filtered softly and pleasantly.
The dimmable Lampyre t2 is rather spectacular in size – it measures almost half a meter in height and 38 cm in diameter. The lamp makes a statement even when switched off, whether adorning a living room of a private residence or a public setting such as a bar or hotel lobby. Lampyre is perhaps at its best dimmed, when the light glows gently both through its shade and base.
